Jordan Hayes graduated from NYU Tisch School of the Arts. Film student. The person who ordered this wrote one sentence that told us everything about him: “He doesn’t just watch movies — he annotates them.”
They told us about the Post-it notes. His bedroom wall covered in them since he was twelve — shot compositions, lighting observations, lines of dialogue he was saving for something. They told us his film professor stopped mid-class once to ask Jordan to explain what he’d just said to the person next to him, because it was better than the lecture. They told us he cried at the ending of a film that nobody else in the screening room cried at, and when they asked him why, his answer made them cry.
The brief said: “He sees things other people don’t see yet. He always has. I want a song that sounds like standing at the beginning of the rest of his life — the last scene before the credits roll.”
